Raja Casablanca inch closer to CAF CC trophy after thrashing AS Vita
Raja Casablanca moved closer to emerging champions of the CAF Confederation Cup with a 3-0 victory over AS Vita.
A brace from striker Soufiane Rahimi ensured the Moroccan side took control of the two-legged final.
The first leg game was played at the Stade Mohammed V on Sunday.
After a goalless first half, Rahimi took his tally in the competition to four with a brace.
Top scorer Mahmoud Benhalib then converted a penalty kick after 66 minutes to record his 12th goal of the campaign.
AS Vita were reduced to 10 men when defender Yannick Bangala received a second yellow card.
Raja comfortably saw out the rest of the game. They are seeking to win a first continental title since they lifted the defunct CAF Cup in 2003.
The second leg fixture will take place in Kinshasa on Sunday.
