How soon time flies! It is now one week since Nigerians went to the polls to vote for Muhammadu Buhari as the man to lead the country’s affairs for the next four years.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) started announcing results of the two-day election on Monday, but the process did not end until the early hours of Wednesday – interrupted by series of breaks, each of which ended up longer than the minutes/hours announced.

Here is a recap of some the expressions with which Nigerian relieved the tension:

Please, Jega should just announce the results of APC and PDP, others should go and see their results on Linda Ikeji or on INEC notice board. We are burning petrol to watch this.

Jega is making all these professors and vice chancellors look like students defending their projects.

Wait, please somebody tell me, if APC and PDP draw, will there be penalty shoot outs?

See, if we all wait for Jesus the same way we are waiting for Jega, we will all make heaven.

Please, where can I buy INEC result scratch card? I want to check the results by myself because this announcement process is taking too much time.

If they are interpreting with sign language, what of French?

There are only 3 parties contesting: APC, PDP, and miscellaneous!

These ‘electorates’ are just announcing results and they are taking time.

Today is March 30, what if Jega announces the results on April 1st and comes few hours later to say April fool?

I will get popcorn tomorrow so that I can enjoy this season film from Jega.

There is God o, there is God o, the vote you are sharing, chae!

Please Jega, let your 10am be 10am. This one that 10 minutes was over 35 mins!
