The house of representatives committee on defence says it will “closely monitor” investigations into the military air strikes on Tudun Biri village in Igabi LGA of Kaduna.
On Sunday, the military air strikes targeted at terrorists killed many locals celebrating the birth of Prophet Muhammad.
The death toll from the miscalculated air strike has now reportedly surpassed 100.
In a statement issued on Friday, Babajimi Benson, chairman of the committee, described the incident as “unfortunate”, saying it casts a “sombre mood” over the hearts of all Nigerians.
