Ifeanyi Osuji, identified as a suspected internet fraudster, has been accused of raping one Amarachi Iwunze, a 14-year-old girl, to death.

The incident was said to have occurred on Sunday in Umuezeala Nsu community in Ehime Mbano LGA, Imo state.

Osuji, identified as a 22-year-old, was said to have invited the victim over to his house on Saturday, and allegedly hypnotised her before he proceeded to rape her.

Narrating the incident, a source from the community, who didn’t want to be named, said the victim’s corpse was discovered in the suspect’s room on Sunday.

“Little Amarachi Iwunze from Umuduruewuru, Umuezeala Nsu autonomous community in Ehime Mbano LGA of Imo state was raped to death on Sunday, by one Ifeanyi Osuji, a suspected Yahoo plus boy and ritualist from Agbaghara Nsu autonomous community in Ehime Mbano LGA of Imo state,” the source said.

“The ugly news came late hours of yesterday, when the mother of the suspect unlocked a room and found little Amarachi lying lifeless.

“On raising alarm, it was discovered that Ifeanyi Osuji, her son, is the killer.

“When Ifeanyi Osuji found out that people were now aware of his ugly act, he took to his heels to an unknown destination.

“Till this very moment, he is wanted.”

Meanwhile, sperm was said to have been found on the body of the victim.

When contacted, Micheal Abattam, police public relations officer in Imo state, confirmed the incident and said investigation had commenced.

“We suspect that this young man is into money rituals,” he said.

Youths of the community, on Monday, also staged a protest over the incident, during which the house of the suspect was set ablaze.
