Rivers election petition tribunal relocates to Abuja

Two days after the Adamawa state election petition tribunal relocated to Abuja for security reasons, the Rivers state tribunal has followed suit.

Deborah Musa, secretary of the tribunal, disclosed this in a statement made available to NAN in Abuja on Wednesday.

Musa said that the relocation was approved by the Zainab Bulkachuwa, president of the court of appeal.

She added that Ishaq Bello, the acting chief judge of the FCT high court, approved the secretariat of FCT high court, Apo, for the tribunal.

The election of Rivers has generated so much controversies, with some international observers calling for its cancellation.
