Robbers attack bank in Port Harcourt

A suspected robbery gang on Monday stormed the branch of a bank along Shell RA Bus Stop in Port Harcourt, Rivers state capital, on Monday, injuring some persons.

A witness told NAN that the robbery took place between 8am and 9am.

The witness said it was not certain if the gang succeeded in leaving with some amount of money, as a soldier pursued them.

The hoodlums were said to have escaped to unknown destination.

Nnandi Omond, police public relations officer (PRO) in the state, told NAN that he learnt of the robbery, but had not received the full details.

Omoni promised to get back to journalists after getting the details of the matter.
