Two commercial motorcyclists were killed after suspected robbers invaded a filling station in Kaduna state.

The incident occurred at Usmania filling station, located along Nnamdi Azikwe expressway in the state, in the early hours of Monday.

The victims of the incident were reported to have passed the night at the filling station, a usual practice of some commercial motorcyclists in the area.

Their attackers reportedly arrived at the filling station around 3:40am, dispossessing them of their belongings.

They made away with money, mobile phones and one of the motorcycles parked at the filling station.

Rayyanu Yahaya, one of the victims, narrated that one of the two persons killed, made attempt to run away when he was shot dead, while the other was stabbed to prevent him from screaming.

“They asked all of us to hand over our mobile phones and money. One of them hit me on the face and ordered me to lie face- down on the floor,” he said.
