Ronaldo wins fifth Ballon d’Or, equals Messi’s record

Cristiano Ronaldo has won his fifth Ballon d’Or award on Thursday, drawing level with Barcelona star Lionel Messi.
Ronaldo beat Messi and Neymar to second and third respectively. The striker received the award at a ceremony which took place at the Eiffel Tower in Paris.
The Portuguese, who won the FIFA best footballer award in November, is the 62nd Ballon D’Or winner.
Ronaldo has previously won the award in 2008, 2013, 2014 and 2016.
