Rotary District 9112 has donated 100 pairs of rain boots and 200 raincoats to the Lagos Primary Healthcare Board (LSPHCB) to support health workers in the ‘End Polio Now’ campaign.
Ibrahim Mustafa, permanent secretary of the board, who received the items at the LSPHCB office in Alausa, Ikeja, commended Rotary for its consistent support of the state’s health programmes.
“This support aligns perfectly with the government’s efforts to ensure the total eradication of polio,” Mustafa said.
“Rotary International has always stood out in the fight against this disease, and these items will greatly assist our teams during the rainy season.”

Yomi Adewunmi, who represented the chairman of the Nigeria National PolioPlus Committee, said the donation—valued at about N1.6 million—underscores Rotary’s commitment to combating the spread of mutant poliovirus in Lagos.
Lanre Adedoyin, district governor of Rotary District 9112, reaffirmed the organisation’s commitment to ending polio globally.
“Our commitment to ending polio is absolute,” Adedoyin said.
