According to an exclusive report by the Sun newspaper UK, Ryan Giggs, assistant manager of Manchester United Football Club, finally took a major step in mending his shattered relationship with his younger brother Rhodri Giggs.

After four years of estrangement, Ryan called his brother out of the blue and apologised for his eight-year affair with his brother’s wife and mother of his two children.

The two brothers, who were inseparable as children, were spotted together in the VIP area of a neighbourhood bar in Manchester. Apparently they seemed comfortable with each other as they look to be making best efforts to mend their relationship.

The whole messy affair was revealed by his brother’s wife Natasha in the British press in 2011, when she found out that Ryan was also cheating on her with a welsh model and Big Brother contestant. It was sort of a Tiger Woods situation for Giggs, as other rumoured affairs started flying off the walls.

Giggs started the affair with Natasha while he was engaged to his wife Stacey in 2003. It was also about the same time that Natasha met his brother Rhodri and they started dating officially. The sexual affair continued for the next eight years and during the period Natasha got engaged to Ryan’s brother in 2005, had their first son for Rhodri in 2006, and aborted a baby for Ryan just before she got married to Rhodri in 2010.

Rhodri and Natasha tried to work on their marriage and keep their family together but they eventually got divorced in 2013. Ryan and his wife Stacey are still married with two children.
