Three interceptions, five clearances and two blocked shots are rare stats for a defender playing against a side like Luton. Balogun peppered the opposition.

Chidozie Awaziem (Leganes)

The vastly improved player held his own at the back for Leganes who picked up a 2-1 win at Villarreal.

Bukayo Saka (Arsenal)

Bukayo Saka was always on hand to help Arsenal at the final third against West Ham. It was a great game for the teenager.

The defensive midfielder put up a fantastic show in Leicester City massacre of Aston Villa on Monday night.

Joe Aribo (Rangers)

The 23-year-old had the most passes and touches of any Rangers player. He was the heart of a team that ran their legs off to play some amazing attacking football in a 1-0 win over Ross County.

Ebere Eze (QPR)

Most sprints, most runs, one goal and one assist. The midfielder was QPR’s key player in their impressive 3-1 win over Preston.

The Shakhtar Donetsk loanee once again proved himself with a goal for Gaziantep who drew 1-1 against Trabzonspor.

Chinedu Ohanachom (Nasarawa United)

Scoring three goals against Katsina United means that you are pretty much a shoe in for the team of the week. Ohanachom seems to be a diamond that had been hidden for too long.
