Mo Salah with the EPL player f the year award
The English Premier League (EPL) has named Mohammed Salah as the 2024/25 player of the season.
The Liverpool forward was voted winner of the award from an eight-man list that included Virgil van Dijk, Ryan Gravenberch, Morgan Gibbs-White, Alexander Isak, Bryan Mbeumo, Declan Rice and Chris Wood.
He ended a five-consecutive season in which a Manchester City player had won the EPL player of the season award.
Salah, who previously won the prize in 2018, becomes the fifth player to win the award twice. He joins Thierry Henry, Cristiano Ronaldo, Nemanja Vidic and Kevin De Bruyne on the exclusive list.

Salah scored 28 goals and provided 18 assists as Liverpool won their 30th EPL title. The winger also broke the record for the most goal involvements in a single 38-game EPL campaign.
Also, this season, he overtook Sergio Aguero and became the highest-scoring overseas player in EPL history.
On May 9, Salah was also named winner of the Football Writers’ Association’s Men’s Footballer of the Year (FOTY) award.

He became the second player since Thierry Henry to claim the individual prize three times.
