Babajide Sanwo-Olu, governor of Lagos, has unveiled the international management research centre built by the Gamaliel and Susan Onosode Foundation (GAMSU).
The centre was built by the foundation in partnership with the Lagos Business School (LBS) in honour of the late Gamaliel Onosode and his wife, Susan.
Gamaliel Onosode was a frontline industrialist, technocrat, and administrator, who died at 82.
He served as the chairman of Airtel Nigeria, Cadbury, and Dunlop and was a board member of several organisations.
Onosode also occupied the office of the pro-chancellor of the University of Ibadan, University of Uyo, University of Lagos and Bowen University in Osun.
Speaking at the inauguration, Sanwo-Olu, who was represented by Bimbo Salu-Hudeyin, secretary to the state government, said the centre shows the commitment of the business school to provide insights needed to combat challenges facing society.
Chris Ogbechie, dean of the LBS, said the centre “houses all the research initiatives that help us to drive the practice of management in Nigeria and Africa”.
