Collage of some media veterans to be honoured
The Journalism Clinic will on October 22 celebrate and honour veteran Nigerian journalists aged 70 and above.
Tagged ‘Appreciation Day’, the event is designed to appreciate the veterans for their lifelong contributions to the media landscape in the country.
According to Taiwo Obe, founder and director of the Journalism Clinic, the event will take place at the Nigerian Institute of Journalism (NIJ), Ogba, Lagos.
Obe said the event is aimed at thanking the media elders “for working over the years to inform, educate, and entertain our people, with little regard for celebrating themselves”.
