Isiaka Amao, chief of air staff, has called for synergy among officers of the armed forces for quicker and efficient results against insecurity.

Amao stated this while addressing officers and airmen at the Nigerian air force (NAF) ground training command, Enugu, during an inspection visit on Wednesday.

The air chief, who noted that all officers under the armed forces are equal, enjoined airmen to align with sister security agencies in the fight against insecurity.

“Synergy is what we are talking about now and we must cultivate the habit of seeing other sister security agencies as partners in progress,” Amao said.

“We must work as one. An army man is equal and has same responsibility as an air force man or the naval man; whose overall objective is how to check security challenges.’’

He also maintained that the mission of the force is to secure the country and let citizens resume their normal lives without fear.

“We are to ensure that Nigerians return to their livelihoods without fear or favour; that the farmer can go back to his farm and herdsmen carry out their activities in a secured environment,” he said.

“We bring back lasting peace among Nigerians notwithstanding the socio-economic activities they engage in.”

The air chief also inspected facilities at the state command, as well as the NAF property on Forest Street, Enugu, and the residential quarters wing.
