Senatorial poll: Accord Party beats APC at Buhari’s polling unit

Lawal Nalado. candidate of Accord Party in Katsina north senatorial district, defeated Ahmad Baba Kaita, his All Progressives Congress (APC) rival, at Kofa Baru unit 03, Gidan Niyam in Daura local government area of Katsina state, polling unit of President Muhammadu Buhari.

Aliyu Abdullahi, the presiding officer of the unit, announced that the APC candidate polled 247 behind Nalado who secured 262 votes.

However, Buhari won the presidential election at the unit, polling 523 votes, while Atiku recorded just three votes.
