Senators and honourables are wrong, Buhari has solved the problem of insecurity

Senators and honourables are wrong, Buhari has solved the problem of insecurity

President Buhari has assembled the most excellent army chiefs in the history of Nigeria and they have reformed the army, making them stronger than the one we had when Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan was calling the shots in Aso Rock. According to Mr. Femi Adesina, the number of people we have lost since baba came to power is nothing compared with the number of people we lost when baba’s predecessor was in office. What a good-news! I believe this has made it impracticable for Buhari to find replacements for them.

Nigerians today can sleep with their two-eyes closed, but when Goodluck was in power, no one could sleep with even an eye closed! It was because GEJ failed woefully in this area that made Nigerians look for a man who conquered Maitatsine, so he could come and do the magic once again, crushing Boko Haram, throwing them into the dustbin of history. And we are so grateful today, because baba has not disappointed us!

When we were little, we were told that when a snake is killed and it is set on fire, it would still be seen moving in the set fire as if it is still alive. When I grew up, I have seen it in real life. I remember killing a snake some years ago and immediately we set it on fire, it began to move as if it was still alive. After a while, it became completely motionless. Boko Haram, Banditry and kidnapping are like a dead snake—that is still moving when set ablaze! Buhari has killed insecurity in Nigeria! What you are seeing is the make-believe movement of a dead-snake set on fire!

As if that is not enough, eight (8) days ago, the Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Tukur Buratai described the spates of attacks by Boko Haram insurgents—which have claimed soldiers and civilians as “the kicks of a dying horse.” When Lawan Andimi was beheaded, it was “the kicks of a dying horse.” When Daciya Dalep was executed by an eight (8) year old terrorist, it was “the kicks of a dying horse.” The good-news is that the horse is dying. Remember, it would have been worse, if “the horse” were alive!

Nigerians will need to learn to live with the impact of a dying horse that is still kicking as if it is still wholly alive. Our inability to rescue Dapchi girls is the impact of a dying horse. The dying horse kicked again a few days ago when about fifteen (15) citizens of Nigeria were murdered by some wicked souls on the Plateau! Thank goodness the horse is no longer alive. If it were alive, it would have been worse. Congratulations to Nigeria and Nigerians!

Is it wrong for President Buhari to be shocked when he heard that the horse is kicking in recent times as if it is resurrecting? This does not mean baba is not in-charge. It is impossible to achieve what PMB has achieved without being in-charge. Most Nigerians do not know how much we have achieved since the power moved from “Otuoke” to “Daura.” Go and check all our positive statistics. But let me warn you, when you see those negative statistics (from globally approved organizations) flying everywhere, kindly ignore them. Those are merely the handiworks of the enemies of President Buhari.

Nigerians should be thankful to President Buhari for agreeing to serve them at this time of life. If he hadn’t come to power at such a time as this, Nigeria would have become worse. Nigeria was terribly divided along many ugly-lines when GEJ was in power, but today, we are singing a new song. Nigerians have never been this united since the Union Jack was lowered on the 1st of October, 1960. We cannot thank baba enough!

Also, I agree with Garba Shehu that Senator Abaribe’s call for baba’s resignation is not only foolish, it is equally bunkum, ludicrous and farcical. No football-coach substitutes a performing player, except he wants to keep him for a crucial match, so as to avoid an unnecessary injury. The truth is; the greatest president in the history of Nigeria is currently doing so well and he’s too protected to sustain any injury as an effect of sliding-tackles from the major opposition party, the PDP! This is no time to ask for baba’s resignation. We all need to come together, cheering him on.

Some hours ago, when I began to hear some uncoordinated-noise from both the Senate and House of Representatives on the current state of our security, I shook my head, because it is clear as water that they have been misinformed. Nigeria is doing extremely fine security-wise! If we are not doing fine, we wouldn’t have sent about a thousand (1000) soldiers to a foreign land. Nigerians are so heavily protected, making even “Amotekun” totally unnecessary.

Lastly, each time you see Herdsmen destroy farms, just know that it is “the kicks of a dying horse.” When you hear folks being kidnapped, just know that it is “the kick of a dying horse.” When you hear that folks are shot by bandits and bombed by terrorists, just know that it is “the kicks of a dying horse.” The horse is dying. It is just kicking. Nigerians will need to learn to live with the dying horse, in anticipation of when it will finally stop kicking. So stop asking for baba’s resignation, kindly start cheering him on! We have never had it this good since the birth of Nigeria.
