Pregnant Serena Williams has posed naked for August edition of Vanity Fair.
The tennis champ showed off her growing baby bump with just a simple chain covering her modesty.
In an interview with the magazine, Serena recalls how she first learnt she was pregnant after feeling physically different for about a week before the beginning of the Australian Open in January.
She said she took a pregnancy test just to prove everyone wrong.
“I’ll take it just because (a) to prove you wrong and (b) because it’s fun, whatever. It’s like a joke. Why not?” Williams told Vanity Fair.
“I put it down. I went back to finishing hair and makeup, was laughing, talking. I was getting the styling done.”
After taking the test, she forgot about it, believing it was impossible that it could be positive.
“An hour and a half later, I went back to the bathroom and I totally forgot about it because it was impossible for me. . . . So I went back to get dressed and I went back in the bathroom and I was like, ‘Oh yeah, that test.
“Oh my God, this can’t be—I’ve got to play a tournament,” Williams said.
“How am I going to play the Australian Open? I had planned on winning Wimbledon(her third straight) this year.”
After discovering she was pregnant, Williams called her fiance and told him to fly to Melbourne earlier than previously planned.
When she saw him, she wordlessly handed him a paper bag containing the six positive pregnancy tests.
Ohanian proposed last December at the same table at the Cavalieri Hotel, Italy, where they first talked to each other.
