The Social Integrity Network (SINET), a non-governmental organisation (NGO), has commended Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim, minister of women affairs, for her contributions to President Bola Tinubu’s renewed hope agenda.
Speaking after a meeting in Abuja on Tuesday, Dalhatu Issah, SINET national coordinator, said Sulaiman-Ibrahim has demonstrated dedication and intelligence as a gender advocate and patriot.
Issah said the minister’s leadership has brought transformative innovations to the ministry.
He cited key achievements, including hosting a consultative meeting with former women affairs ministers, leading Nigeria’s delegation to the 69th UN Commission on the status of women in March and convening large-scale citizens’ engagement events to rally support for the renewed hope agenda.

He also praised the minister for fostering peace, unity, growth, and development among Nigerian women since assuming office in October 2024 and highlighted her commitment to inclusiveness, humanitarian principles, and excellent performance.
On women’s empowerment, SINET praised the ministry’s efforts under Sulaiman-Ibrahim’s leadership to expand economic opportunities through empowerment programmes reaching over 30,000 women across 18 states and the federal capital territory (FCT).
He said the ministry’s initiatives include the establishment of a rice processing centre in Niger state, benefiting 1,500 rural women; vocational training for widows of fallen Department of State Service (DSS) personnel; and partnerships with Wema Bank to train over 500 women in tailoring, catering, and hairdressing.
