Vice-President Kashim Shettima on Sunday departed Abuja for Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, where he will represent Nigeria at the second United Nations Food Systems Summit (UNFSS).
The summit, scheduled to hold from July 27 to 29, will convene global leaders to assess progress since the inaugural 2021 summit and accelerate actions towards building resilient, inclusive, and sustainable food systems.
A statement issued on Sunday by Stanley Nkwocha, senior special assistant to the president on media and communications (office of the vice-president), said Shettima will participate in high-level dialogues, including a key event on transforming the global coffee value chain.
He is also expected to engage in ministerial roundtables focused on public finance, trade, and responsible investment, alongside other side events featuring field trips, networking sessions, and knowledge-sharing platforms.
