Siasia picks 21 for Gabon
National U-23 coach, Samson Siasia, has released a 21-man list for this weekend’s All-Africa Games qualifier against Gabon in Libreville.
Gero Abdullahi, a former U-20 international, was the surprise omission from the list of 16 home-based and five foreign-based professionals.
Others who failed to make the team are Aminu Umar and Warri Wolves’ forward Freedom Omofonma who both arrived late to camp.
The players are expected to depart the Murtala Mohammed international airport, Lagos on Wednesday evening for Gabon aboard an Ethiopia Airline flight.
