SKOT Communications, a global strategic communications firm, has launched the SKOT Impact Academy to equip early-career professionals with skills needed to succeed in Nigeria’s communications industry.
The SKOT Impact Academy is a six-week, hands-on programme designed for young professionals with one to two years of experience.
According to a statement, the academy is a platform to nurture talent and transform it into industry-ready expertise.
The statement said participants are expected to gain hands-on knowledge, storytelling mastery, and tools to shape narratives, strengthen brands, and inspire change.

The academy seeks to create opportunities for young Nigerians to compete and thrive in the global economy in line with the United Nations sustainable development goals (SDGs) on quality education and decent work for youth.
The curriculum is expected to bridge theory and practice, focusing on real-world application.
Tokunboh George-Taylor, founder of SKOT Academy and chief executive officer (CEO) of SKOT Communications, said the initiative is designed to empower young professionals to become global storytellers who will redefine African communications.

“SKOT Impact Academy is more than a training programme; it is where young professionals are given a solid foundation to grow, thrive, and lead with purpose,” she said.
“My vision is for the academy to be the PR hub that empowers them to become global storytellers whose voices shape industries, strengthen brands, and redefine the future of African communications.”
The SKOT Impact Academy is one of three core programmes under SKOT Academy.
The tuition-free course will run three times a year in virtual and hybrid formats to increase accessibility.

Other offerings include SKOT masterclasses for junior to senior professionals seeking to refine strategic communication skills and SKOT Elevate, which provides bespoke courses tailored to organisational needs.
