Soldiers currently engaging Boko Haram fighters in Borno
Troops from 7 brigade of the Nigerian army are currently battling with Boko Haram insurgents in Baga, Kukawa local government area of Borno state.
The army, in a tweet, said the insurgents tried to infiltrate the area where the troops are.
“Gallant Troops of 7 Brigade Baga are currently engaging and neutralizing BHTs who attempted to infiltrate their location in Baga,” the army tweeted.

On Sunday, the insurgents attacked Makalama, a village in Gatamwarwa ward, Chibok local government area of the state.
Sani Usman, army spokesman, had told TheCable that troops responded to the attack.
Usman did not immediately respond to TheCable’s inquiry on the ongoing face-off. The army, however, said it would give details later.
