Soldiers hit Oshodi over ‘killing of air force officer’
Soldiers took over Oshodi area of Lagos on Thursday morning following the alleged killing of an air force officer.
There are air force facilities around Oshodi, a central part of Lagos.
An air force personnel was alleged to have been killed by some hoodlums in the area.
Videos of the incident posted on social media showed some soldiers patrolling around the area and blocking the expressway with their vehicles.

This has caused gridlock and tension in the area.
Many residents going about their business have become stranded owing to the incident.
In an update, Jubril Gawat, senior special assistant to Babajide Sanwo-Olu, governor of Lagos, said the area is now calm.
“Oshodi is calm,” Gawat tweeted.
