Serbians Alexandra Rogic and Goran Stepanovic, and France’s Paul Le Guen are among those  seeking to be the technical adviser of the Super Eagles.

But the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) will release the names of the shortlisted candidates on Friday.

Chris Green, head technical committee of the NFF, disclosed this to TheCable, saying Le Guen has just applied for the job, as opposed to news that he has been selected.

Le Guen was said to have been linked to the Eagles job by Arsenal’s David Dein and he allegedly negotiated  the monthly sum of $44,000.

“We have also extended the application till Wednesday July 7th for the late applications.”

Whoever is given the job will have only six competitive games to deal with in the next two years.

Since Nigeria failed to qualify for the 2017 African Cup of Nations, the new coach will focus on qualifiers for the 2018 world Cup.

Nigeria is grouped alongside Algeria, Zambia and Cameroon.

The eagles first game will be away to Zambia on October 3, while the last game will take place in November, 2017.
