Chukwuma Soludo, governor of Anambra, says his administration is driving social reforms in a bid to restore values rooted in enterprise, hard work, and integrity.
Speaking in an interview with Channels Television on Sunday, Soludo said his government has stepped up security and social measures to curb crime and discourage reliance on “magical means” of making money.
“We have gallant security forces, and our own Agunechemba are at work,” he said.
“Those people have been grossly decapitated, and to a level that for them to regroup anywhere near 10 percent of where they were when we arrived here is not possible. And we’re not done yet.”

The governor said his administration is complementing security operations with investments in technology, surveillance, and community reorientation.
“A new law is in place, and it’s not just the kinetic approach,” he said.
“We’re also having huge social reformation. That’s why you find that the dreadful and dreaded native doctors are on the run.”

Soludo said the reforms aim to address the root causes of crime and moral decay in the state.
“We’re trying to reorient our people that the only values acceptable here are those of enterprise, hard work, and integrity,” he added.
“It’s not to make money through magical means or any other unproductive path.”
The governor’s remarks come as preparations intensify ahead of the November 8 Anambra governorship election.
