In a post on her Instagram page on Thursday, the 32-year-old Delta-born film star also narrated how her son was certified cancer-free — about three years after he was diagnosed with the killer disease.

The actress revealed that she had participated in the #HalleluyahChallenge initiated by Nathaniel Bassey, a gospel singer, which held between November 1-21 in 2017 with fasting.

Idhalama said she had thereafter departed for South Africa on November 21 to attend the wedding of Banky W, a singer cum politician, and Adesua Etomi.

The Canada-based actress said a day after she arrived South Africa, she had received a call that her son had been diagnosed with cancer — forcing her to return to Nigeria on November 23.

The movie star, who starred in ‘The Wedding Party,’ ‘The Arbitrition,’ and ‘Lara And The Beats’, shared footage of her son while receiving treatment at the hospital and the family’s emotional journey amid the incident.

According to her, the family received news last Monday that her son had recovered from the disease — five months earlier than expected.

The actress appreciated God for seeing the family through the challenging period, while also commending friends and well-wishers who stood by them.

“The past 3 years have been nothing short of a miracle with miracle after miracle after miracle. On Monday last week, we got the amazing news, nearly 5 months earlier than predicted, that our baby is certified #CancerFree!” she wrote.

“Let me give you perspective Nov.1-20th I did the #HallelujahChallenge with @nathanielblow and fasted the whole way. Day 21 I landed in SA, Day 22 I received news that our son was diagnosed with an acute childhood cancer. Day 23 I was back in Nigeria and the rest I summarized in the video.”

The actress went on to enjoin people undergoing such challenges not to get despair, noting that her experience was evidence that there is indeed a living God.

“Your faith will be tested but fear not for He has overcome and so will you and I…I’m holding back tears that are overwhelming!! This video is only a spec of dust in explaining this journey. But what I will tell you is this, there is a living God. Period!” she added.
