Starlink, a satellite internet service operated by Elon Musk’s SpaceX, has announced an increase in the monthly subscription prices for its services in Nigeria.
In an email to subscribers seen by TheCable on Wednesday, Starlink said its monthly subscription fee for current users in Nigeria will increase to N57,000 from May 30.
“The monthly service price of Residential is increasing to N57,000,” the email reads.
“As a current customer, your monthly service price will increase beginning 30 May 2025. For new customers, the price increase is effective immediately.

“If you do not wish to continue service, you can cancel at any time on your account page.
“You can receive a full refund of hardware and service if your Starlink is returned within 30 days of purchase or half refund of the hardware if purchased within the last year.”
On October 1, 2024, Starlink announced that it would raise its monthly subscription fee to N75,000.

However, the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) criticised the hike as unilateral and violating sectoral guidelines.
The development had led Starlink to suspend the planned price adjustment.
On December 28, Starlink announced that the monthly subscription prices for its services in Nigeria would increase from January 27.
However, the company did not implement the hike.
