Stock market: Seplat gains, Nestle loses

Reports from the trading floor of the Nigerian Stock Market reveal a  stablility in the All Share Index (ASI), which closed at 38,485.48.

However, at the end of trading activities today, Wednesday, Market Capitalisation dropped to N12,671 trillion.

A total of 300,258,016 shares valued at N5,377,945,897.28 were traded in 4,800 deals.

Seplat led the gainers’ table, adding N29.81 to close at N626.31.

Mobil followed with an appreciation of N2.12 to close at N118.22.

Julius Berger gained N2.01 to close at N70.90, while Nigeria Brewery added N1.10 to close at N150.00.

Nestle led the losers’ table, losing N40.00 to close at N1,040.00.

Cadbury and Guinness followed losing N3.95 and N2.00 to close at N75.05 and N176.00.

First Bank Holdings was the most traded equity, trading 72,060,978 shares worth N1,028,011,224.69.
