Reports from the trading floor of the stock market reveal a decline in the All Share Index (ASI) from 39,408.33 witnessed on Tuesday to 39,194.09 of today.

However, market capitalisation rose to N12,889  from N12.830 at the end of trading.

A total of 356,517,228 shares valued at N5,271,741,195.16 were traded in 5,221 deals.

Total led the gainers’ table, adding N3.90 to close at N167.90. Dangcem followed with an appreciation of N2.11 to close at N230.00. Cap was next with a gain of N2.00 to close at 42.00, while Guinness also added 2.00 to close at 190.00.

For the second day running, Nestle and Seplat led the losers’ table, losing N11.00 to close at N1,100.00, and N6.46 to close at 627.00, respectively.

Fbn Holdings PLC remained the most traded equity, trading 127,179,246 shares in 665 deals valued at N1,594,336,686.45.
