Taiye Taiwo grabs assist as club records ‘magnificent’ victory

RoPS left back Taiye Taiwo has described the team’s performance in the 2-1 victory over TPS as “magnificent”.

The former AC Milan and Olympique Marseille defender provided an assist in the Finnish Veikkausliiga game on Saturday.

“We were absolutely magnificent and knew how to approach this game with the passion it deserved,” he told TheCable.

“In the first half there was some exquisite football played and we showed an intensity that gave our opponents no chance.

“There is joy in my heart as I provided an assist for my team in the win.”
