Speaker of the House of Representatives, Alhaji Aminu  Tambuwal, has joined sportscaster Aisha Falode in the  quest to bring to book the murderers of Toba Falode, her 19-year-old son, who was a student at SAE Institute, Dubai.

Toba fell from the 17th floor of his residence – but while police claimed it was an accident, new facts suggest that he might have been pushed by a fellow student.

While receiving Mr. Rasheed Aldhaheri, outgoing United Arab Emirates (UAE) ambassador to Nigeria, Tambuwal urged the country to find the killers.

He told the envoy to ensure that justice was done in order to serve as deterrent to others that may be planning to perpetrate such callous act in the future.

The speaker said Nigeria and UAE had had a long standing relationship and both countries must strive to strengthen the relationship.

He called for more investment and participation of UAE businessmen in the Nigeria’s economy to enhance the mutual relationship between the two countries.

In his remarks, Aldhaheri said so far, he had not received any official communication from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in relation to the alleged murder.

He said he could only act upon the matter if a formal complaint was filed by the Nigerian authorities.

Falode is presently embarking on a campaign to get justice.

She had earlier filed a 10-page petition to Tambuwal in a bid to make the federal government conduct an investigation into the saga.
