Tara celebrates 14th wedding anniversary with husband Fela
Tara Durotoye, founder House of Tara, and her husband and motivational speaker, Fela Durotoye, are celebrating their 14th wedding anniversary.
The day is also Fela’s birthday, which marks a double celebration for the high-profile couple.
The beauty entrepreneur shared glowing pictures commemorating their anniversary and also mentioned that their annual getaway will be going down in Uganda this year.
Last year, in celebration of their 13th anniversary, they flew to Dubai and stayed at the magnificent Burj Al Arab hotel.
Tara is the managing director and creative director of House of Tara International, a Nigerian makeup company she started in 1998 while studying law at the Lagos state university.
From very humble beginnings, the organisation is now one of Nigeria’s most influential indigenous brands with three main lines of business: the makeup studio, the makeup school and the Tara product line comprising beauty products and professional makeup kits.
In 2007, Tara was awarded the Africa SMME Award and the Entrepreneur award in South Africa and in 2013, Forbes listed her as one 20 Young Power Women In Africa.
Fela, a business strategist and corporate activator, is the chief executive officer of Visible Impact. The couple have three sons.
