Lawmakers in Taraba have appealed to President Goodluck Jonathan to take over the security of the state.

The lawmakers hinged their appeal on failure of the state government to halt the worsening insecurity in the state.

The call for the federal government’s intervention was unanimous, as the members, in various contributions, observed that the southern part of the state is already engulfed in crisis, while the central part is also threatened.

They argued that the state government has failed to protect its people, thereby necessitating the invitation of the president to intervene.
