TB Joshua: Prayers of Americans reversed my prophecy on Clinton
Temitope Balogun Joshua, general overseer of the Synagogue Church of All Nations, has claimed that the prayers of Americans reversed the victory of Hillary Clinton, which he saw in a vision.
Joshua had tipped a woman as the winner of US presidential election.
“Ten days ago, I saw the new President of America with a narrow win. The new president will be facing several challenges over many issues, including: passing bills, attempts to possibly pass a vote of no confidence on the new president,” Joshua had told his congregation.
“The boat of the new president will be rocked. By the way, in order not to keep you in suspense, what I frankly saw is a woman.”
However, the video of the prophecy was deleted from his church’s website after the victory of Donald Trump.
Joshua later explained that he meant Clinton was going to win by popular vote. He also accused his critics of not understanding the things of God.
But speaking at service on Sunday, Joshua said Clinton lost because a lot of Americans prayed against it.
“Thousands of people that heard my prophecy prayed to God, they fasted and prayed that God should change the prophecy,” Joshua said.
“That a prophecy was disclosed and did not come to pass does not mean that it is not authentic. They know my antecedents that what I say always come to pass. As a result, they went to God in prayer. This is the power of prayer, it is not a crime to tell you.
“Look at the track record of the person that is talking; the boat will be rocked and there will be challenges. What else do you need? Let’s believe in the power of prayer.”
The prophet has been severely criticised over the US election.
I have watched in amazement at the abilities of some Nigerians to work their magic on facts (accepted truths) to suit their self-interests and T.B Joshua impresses me on his ability to twist what was clearly a false prediction (from him) into something that was not true. I applaud his acumen and I see the charisma he uses to charm his followers. As someone on the outside looking in, I am very impressed.
Your comment..the man of God prophet T.B Joshua when he talks about the story of Jonah it makes sense to me that prophecy can be turned if prayers are made or one repents.like the prophecy in the book of 2kings20:1 in those days was Hezekiah sick unto death.and the prophet Isiah the son of amoz came unto him and said unto him.thus saith the Lord, set thine house in order, for thou shalt die,and not live.the bible says the king turned his face to the wall and prayed to the Lord and the prophecy was overturned. so to my vew in this matter I believe the prophet prophecied and told us what the Lord showed him.and strongly believe the prayers of the saints overtuned the prophecy.prophet t.b Joshua is send of God no mater what the critics say. please let’s not talk things we do not understand.
