The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) says bulk power supply has been restored to Akwa Ibom through its Aba/Itu 132 kilovolt (kV) transmission line.
On September 15, the commission reported a forced power outage on the line, affecting Akwa Ibom state and Port Harcourt.
According to a statement on Tuesday by Ndidi Mbah, TCN’s spokesperson, the commission said the bulk power supply was restored following successful detection and clearance of the fault by line engineers.
“The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) wishes to inform the public that bulk power supply has been restored through its Aba/Itu 132kV Transmission Line at about 14:12 hours today, 16th September 2025,” the statement reads.

The commission appreciated the understanding and patience of PHEDC’s customers who were affected during the period of power interruption.
On September 8, the commission said a thunderstorm led to the snapping of the 132kV Otukpo–Nsukka–New Haven transmission line, which sparked fire.
