Key players in Africa’s tech ecosystem are set to converge in Lagos for the 2025 edition of the Builders Summit, a conference organised by Founders Connect.

The event, themed “Momentum: The Catalyst for Growth and Innovation,” will take place on May 23 at the Balmoral Convention Centre, Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos.

According to the organisers, it will explore strategies for scaling startups, building sustainable products, and unlocking funding opportunities across Africa’s tech landscape.

The summit will feature keynote speeches from industry leaders, panel discussions, workshops, and a pitch competition.

Founders Connect said selected early-stage startups will have the opportunity to pitch their ideas to a panel of investors for a chance to win up to $9,500 in funding.

Confirmed speakers include Fisayo Fosudo, tech content creator; Mohamed Ben Halim, investor at Ingressive Capital; Seye Bandele, chief executive officer (CEO) of PaidHR; and Wale Lawal, editor-in-chief of The Republic.

Mitchell Elegbe, founder and group managing director of Interswitch, is also expected to speak on fintech and Africa’s evolving digital infrastructure.

Peace Itimi, convener of Founders Connect, said the summit is designed to equip startup teams with practical insights for navigating the often-difficult growth phase.

“This year’s summit is designed for builders ready to take decisive action and achieve transformative growth,” she said.

The Builders Summit series has previously been held in Nairobi and is set to expand to Toronto and London later in the year.

Registration for the Lagos edition is currently open, and interested participants can sign up here.
