The Local Organising Committee (LOC) of the E1 Lagos Grand Prix has formally appointed Teksight Edge as the exclusive concessionaire for sponsorship, media rights, and digital asset management ahead of Africa’s first-ever electric powerboat championship.
Lagos joins a prestigious lineup of global host cities-including Monaco, Venice, and Jeddah, for the world’s first all-electric powerboat series. In assuming this role, Teksight Edge will steward the strategic, commercial, and digital framework that defines how Africa’s debut on the E1 circuit is experienced globally.
Teksight’s scope encompasses leading all sponsorship and partnership acquisition efforts, managing media and coverage rights across traditional and digital platforms, and developing the event’s digital ecosystem. Teksight will also oversee the execution of partner rights and activations across all phases of the event.
Charles Edosomwan, Lead Strategist at Teksight Edge, expressed his vision for the role: “This appointment is both an honour and an opportunity that we embrace fully. E1 Lagos is more than a Grand Prix, it is a declaration of Africa’s readiness to deliver world-class experiences with global relevance. Our commitment is to ensure that every brand, every image, and every interaction reflects Lagos as a dynamic capital of innovation, sustainability, and spectacle.”
The LOC noted that Teksight Edge was appointed from a rigorous selection process following their proven expertise in delivering culturally attuned, high-impact campaigns, serving as a key determinant in the final decision. The Committee expressed full confidence in the agency’s ability to elevate the stature of Lagos on the global marine sports stage.
The E1 Lagos Grand Prix, scheduled for October 2025, is backed by international icons such as Rafael Nadal, Lebron James, Will Smith, Didier Drogba, and Tom Brady. It promises to be a defining moment in Nigeria’s sporting and cultural evolution.
