The Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) has announced plans to host a national town-hall meeting aimed at strengthening transparency, accountability, and stakeholder engagement in the tertiary education sector.

Mansur Liman, special assistant to the chairman of the TETFund board of trustees, stated this in Abuja on Monday.

Liman stated that the event, scheduled for Wednesday in Abuja, would be spearheaded by Aminu Masari, chairman of the TETFund board of trustees.

He said that the meeting would provide an avenue for open dialogue between TETFund and key education stakeholders.

The meeting, he said, will also highlight the fund’s achievements and impact on Nigeria’s tertiary education sector.

“This initiative underscores TETFund’s commitment to accountability and inclusiveness in the discharge of its mandate,” Liman said.

“This town-hall meeting will serve as an important platform to bridge the gap between TETFund and the Nigerian public, ensuring that our mandate and interventions are better understood and appreciated nationwide.”

Liman added that the meeting would feature two keynote presentations from leading education experts.

He said that expected participants include policymakers, academics, civil society representatives, students, and members of the general public.

“The interactive sessions will allow attendees to engage directly with TETFund leadership and share suggestions for improving the Fund’s operations and interventions,” he said.
