The stock market today
Reports from the trading floor of the stock market reveal a decline in the All Share Index (ASI) from 39,194.09 witnessed on Wednesday to 39,011.90 at the end of trading activities today, Thursday.
Market capitalisation also dropped to N12,829 trillion from N12,889 trillion achieved yesterday.
A total of 1,045,847,857 shares valued at N15,000,516,542.73 were traded in 4,543 deals.
Presco led the gainers’ table, adding N1.00 to close at N43.00. Unilever followed with an appreciation of N0.65 to close at N47.15.
Fbn Holdings PLC, the most traded equity today, trading 160,733,636 shares in 473 deals valued at N2,031,423,385.66 also added a gain of N0.62 to close at N13.21, while Zenith Bank added N0.30 to close at N23.50.
Seplat again led the losers’ table, losing N29.99 to close at N597.01. Total and Dangote cement followed losing N6.70 and N2.00 to close at N161.20 and N228.00, respectively.
