NEWS EDITOR

Responsibilities: The news editor is the head of the newsroom. The successful candidate will assign stories to reporters, edit copies for publication, exercise judgment on story angles and priorities, check for legal and ethical issues and stand in for the editor when necessary.

Requirements: Relevant journalism experience, with strong analytical, creative and organisational skills. Candidate must possess proficiency in modern, digital journalism. Editing experience in a quality newspaper is a significant advantage. The successful candidate will be based in Lagos.

BUSINESS EDITOR

Responsibilities: The business editor is the head of the business desk and will be directly responsible for the editorial contents of the business section: news, features, opinions and analyses.

Requirements: Relevant journalism experience, with strong analytical, creative and organisational skills. Candidate must possess proficiency in modern, digital journalism. Editing experience in a quality newspaper is a significant advantage. The successful candidate will be based in Lagos.
