‘Nigeria beyond oil’ — Political, business leaders converge for FT Nigeria Summit

Business and political leaders will on Thursday discuss the way forward for Nigeria at the Financial Times Nigeria Summit.

The event, which is scheduled to hold at the EKO Hotel and Suites, Lagos, will examine the various threads that make up the fabric called Nigeria.

Topics to be discussed include art, technology, agriculture, banking and finance, currency policy, oil and gas, banking, investment and economic diversification.

Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo is expected to kick off the event with a keynote address on ‘Nigeria beyond oil: The pathway to transformation’.

Dignitaries expected at the summit include Akinwumi Ambode, governor of Lagos state, Adesola Adeduntan, managing director, First Bank Nigeria, Nnaemeka Achebe, obi of Onitsha, Nasir el-Rufai, governor of Kaduna state.

The ministers who will grace the event are Udoma Udo Udoma, minister of budget and national planning, Ibe Kachikwu, minister of state for petroleum resources, and Audu Ogbeh, minister of agriculture.
