Tinubu appoints Olusegun Omosehin as NAICOM boss

President Bola Tinubu has appointed Olusegun Ayo Omosehin as the commissioner for insurance, National Insurance Commission (NAICOM).

Tinubu appointed Omosehin to replace Olorundare Thomas.

In a statement on Friday, Ajuri Ngelale, Special Adviser to the president, media and publicity, said Tinubu also appointed NAICOM board.

Halima Kyari was appointed by the president as chairperson.

Olawoye Gam-Ikon was named the deputy commissioner, technical operations, Usman Ankara Jimadam deputy commissioner, finance and administration.

Miriam Kene Kachikwu, Adeniyi Olusegun Fabikun, and Umar Khalifa Mohammed were appointed as members of the board.

Ngelale said Tinubu expects the new NAICOM board to exercise utmost probity as it leads the commission in ensuring a safe, sound, and stable insurance sector while protecting policyholders, and the public interest, and improving trust and confidence in the sector.
