President Bola Tinubu and former President Muhammadu Buhari are expected to attend a book presentation by Femi Adesina, immediate-past presidential spokesperson.

The book titled ‘Working with Buhari’ will be presented at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel in Abuja on January 16.

This could be the first time the incumbent, who is special guest of honour, and the past president, will appear together publicly since the handover of May 29.

In a statement, Garba Deen Muhammad, chair of the planning committee, said Yakubu Gowon, a former head of state, will chair the occasion; while I.B.M Haruna, a retired general, will serve as co-chair.

Muhammad said a royal delegation led by Prince Abdulaziz Bin Faisal Al Saud has confirmed that it will attend the event, and Mohammed Indimi, billionaire businessman, will be the chief launcher.

“The book will provide insight unlikely to be found anywhere else; because Femi will be telling his story from a morally strong position,” the chair of the planning committee said.

“Those who know Femi are very familiar with his unwavering loyalty to his principal, former President Muhammadu Buhari.

“The book will reveal Femi’s motivation; why Buhari was, is, and will likely remain his hero. It is, in one sentence, ‘a study in loyalty’.”

The book, published by Safari Books, is a memoir of Adesina’s eight years in office as special adviser to Buhari on media and publicity — an office that afforded him a front-row seat in the administration.
