Three Nigerian students excel at global competition
President Bola Tinubu has congratulated three Nigerian students for becoming champions at the 2025 TeenEagle Global Round competition in London.
Nafisa Aminu, Rukayya Fema, and Hadiza Kalli represented the Nigerian contingent at this year’s edition of the global competition.
Seventeen-year-old Aminu was named the overall best in English Language skills, 15-year-old Fema topped the chart in debate, while Kalli clinched the outstanding talent award and a gold medal.
In a statement issued on Wednesday by Bayo Onanuga, his special adviser on information and strategy, Tinubu described the students’ achievements as a testament to the brilliance and potential of Nigerian youths.

“President Tinubu commends these exceptional young Nigerians for the feat and affirms that the nation’s future is much brighter with many of its youth as repositories of excellence,” the statement reads.
Tinubu also praised the educational institutions responsible for nurturing the girls, saying the accomplishments are a “testament to the quality and potential of Nigeria’s education system as a nurturer of some of the world’s brightest minds”.

The president reiterated his administration’s commitment to education, noting ongoing efforts such as the creation of the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) to remove financial barriers for indigent students.
Tinubu advised the students to remain focused on their academic pursuits and wished them continued success.
