Bola Tinubu, former governor of Lagos state and the national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) joined Olamide, Darey Art Alade, Yemi Alade and other Nigerian acts as the won big at the All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA).

Tinubu was awarded as the pillar of culture in Africa, while Olamide came up as the best male act for West Africa with Yemi Alade winning the female category.

YBNL Sade and Orente crooner, Adekunle Gold won as AFRIMA’s revelation of the year 2015, as Kiss Daniel was awarded the most promising African act for the same year.

Praiz Adejo, Darey and Flavour won best African act in RnB&Soul, inspiration and Electro respectively.

Diamond Platnumz, a Tanzania singer, was the biggest winner of the 2015 AFRIMA with three awards to his name as the artiste of the year, with the song of the year award and Eastern African act of the year.
