Tinubu: Hold Jonathan if anything happens to me

Tinubu: Hold Jonathan if anything happens to me
February 10
19:49 2015

Bola Tinubu, national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), wants Nigerians to hold President Goodluck Jonathan responsible should anything happen to him.

According to Tinubu, stern-looking soldiers had been stationed at Bourdillon road Ikoyi, where his private residence is situated, since Sunday. He expressed belief that the soldiers were targeting him.

“Nigerians and the south-west should hold the Jonathan-led military responsible if any harm or danger comes to Tinubu and his family. The case of the ‘Unknown Soldier’ is too recent in our memory,” his media office said in a statement.

“This morning, Tuesday, two vans from the army were stationed on both sides of the house along Bourdillon road, their missions shrouded in secrecy.

“They stationed about 500 metres away from Tinubu’s gate. Later, they moved close to his gate as if they wanted to enter the premises. The stern-looking soldiers were around for hours on Sunday and returned on Monday to continue their surveillance.”

Tinubu said he would not be intimidated by “this show of strength, intimidation and possible harassment”.

“I remain resolute in my advocacy and support for the rule of law,” he said.

“Jonathan’s government has through the service chiefs staged a coup against Nigerians and the constitution and now wants to silence his critics.

“I will not be muzzled through the barrel of the gun. The guns and bullets they should use to defeat Boko Haram are now being turned against the opposition and innocent Nigerians.”

I think Tinubu is carrying his gutter politics too far! When it is yet to be bed time, you cannot tell who sleeps at the extreme of the bed! This gale of propaganda and name calling of this government at every turn must be restrained . For crying out loud, Tinubu is of no consequence other than the fact that he presides over the treasury of some select states and has amassed enough to take a shot at the centre through another godson and proposed cashier ! This election is going to be won not because of the noise of the opposition but by discernible issues. Tinubu has succeeded in demonising Jonathan but he will be shocked to know Nigerians are not as foolish as he thinks!

It takes a killer to know how people are killed. Of what use is Tinubu to Jonathan? Lagos is a cosmopolitan city with three quarters of the people as non indigenes that will never vote for APC. Why re they hiding the PVCs?

I think sometimes we need to be dispassionate about what we say on social media. it is not difficult to conduct private investigations when you are in doubt. I saw a military vehicle with personnel parked close to Tinubu house on Sunday.

Dele, do you really think that the govt. would conspicuously deploy vans of soldiers in front of Tinubu’s if they wanted to kill him?

What about using secret agents or assassins?

Please stay safe o Jagaban. we need you to salvage this country from Uncle Jona and his co-travellers. @Omo Eni truth is bitter as we in Lagos saw the gallant men and strange policemen everywhere today. Please if they cannot fight Boko Haram and cannot provide security for election why are they chasing innocent ones in a peaceful state like Lagos? Tell your brother not to cause confusion in Lagos but safe his energy for his 14LGAs that hold the country to ransom.

It is not the place of a particular nationality to tell the Yoruba who should be their leaders! Tinubu, just like his elder, Obasanjo, are our authentic leaders. These efforts to taint and cower him will fail.

That nationality that are always bad guests and traitors to their host communities whether in the north or south don’t have the numbers to decide either the governorship of Lagos or the presidency!

President Jonathan is ready to disintegrate naija becos of his desperation to return against the wish of the people. How can a commander in chief deploy army to peaceful areas for intimidation, harrassment and possibly execution when insurgents have seized part of his territory, sacking police and army barracks?

Please does Tinubu not have the phone number if the GOC? Fasola has it, let him call and find out why they are there. But my feeling is he has already been told but the politician that he is, he just could miss the opportunity to play a propaganda script. We know him too well. Up Mesa have been in Lagos on the invitation of Fasola for 3 years and we didn’t raise an eyebrow. We expect both parties to continue this style of maligning politics. That’s why a few of us still don’t trust the political class.

Awolowo, Abiola, Tinubu! Each time Yoruba’s allow strangers to buulshit their sons & daughters! Why! It is time for Jagaban to prepare Yoruba’s for the war of emancipation! It was Hausa/Fulani, now, ijaw/Igbos. Without the Yoruba, where will the Ijaws be today? Without Tinubu/Obasanjo, where will Jonathan be today. When Clarke, Dokubo & the militants shied from supporting Jonathan after the death of Yaardua, it was left for the Yoruba and a sprinkling of other tribes to fight for Gen! Anything happens to Tinubu, I am ready! Ready as the militants in Ijawland are ready to fight for Get if he loses a fair election.

Its God that gives power and no amount of propaganda moves God. Nobody personal ambition in the name of fighting for common man can undo what God has ordained. All APC apostles should know that if this country should burn because of violent desire to get power they would partake of it. Let God be God and every man a liar.Enough of these distraction.

Why do people talk rubbish? How did he give Jonathan the votes? He told you who to vote for? You people had better listen and listen good. Lagos is the Commercial hub of Nigeria if non yorubas excluding hausas who were reduced to Niger and chd maiguards that registered as Nigerians are t leave Lagos the city will be a deserted village and a shadow of itself. After all Tinubu’s APC is the favourite Yoruba party in the state and yet out of almost 6million cards only less than 3m have been distributed a few days t the election because they want to stop the non indigenes from voting. If Tinubu gave Jonathan votes for him to win then he must be a magician. Any free and fair election in Lagos State Jonathan will NOT NEED anybody to rig him in. Why is there so much gang up against one man if he is so useless?
