Tinubu laying solid foundation for better Nigeria, says Solomon Adeola

Solomon Adeola, senator representing Ogun west, has implored Nigerians to pray for President Bola Tinubu and the nation.

In his Easter message, Adeola, who chairs the senate committee on appropriations, said the season marks the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ — a reminder of sacrifice, patience, love and faith.

He urged Christians and non-Christians alike to embrace these virtues, saying they are critical to building a better society.

“It is not possible to develop any society where the Christian virtues of love, sacrifices for one another, patience and hope for a better future are scarce commodity,” he said.

Adeola said Tinubu has shown courage in making difficult decisions aimed at repositioning the country.

“As you are aware, the incumbent administration of President Tinubu at the national level and all APC-controlled states are implementing the Renewed Hope Agenda which is positioning Nigeria on the right trajectory of positive economic development,” he said.

“President Tinubu has so far shown courage in doing what is right for the nation at this time and I have no doubt that we will be seeing more dividends of democracy soon.

“In addition to joining efforts at resolving our economic and security challenges in whatever capacity, I call on all to pray for the president during the celebration of the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ and beyond.”

He urged Nigerians to remain hopeful and support efforts to address insecurity and economic challenges.

The senator likened the resurrection of Christ to a symbol of national redemption, saying a better Nigeria is possible through hard work and prayer.

On Friday, Ayo Fayose, a former governor of Ekiti, said any coalition intended to stop  Tinubu’s re-election in 2027 will fail.

He said the PDP needs to resolve its internal crisis before venturing into a coalition.
