President-elect Bola Tinubu, on Saturday, received Ahmed Ododo, governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), in Kogi state.
The president-elect received Ododo at his residence in Abuja ahead of the November 2023 election in the state.
Femi Gbajabiamila, speaker of the house of representatives; Yahaya Bello, governor of Kogi; Abdullahi Bello, Kogi APC chairperson, were among the party chieftains present during the meeting.
While Yahaya Bello presented Ododo to Tinubu, the president-elect congratulated the candidate, lifted his hand up to endorse him.

Ododo, a former local government auditor-general in the Kogi, was declared the winner of the primary. He scored 78, 704 votes to beat six other contestants.
TheCable had reported how President Muhammadu Buhari received Ododo at the Aso Rock villa on Friday.
The governorship candidate had said he was committed to building on the developmental strides of the governor if elected in the forthcoming polls.

Ododo said with his wealth of experience in the private and public financial sectors, as well as the opportunity of learning from Bello, whom he described as a great leader, he was well equipped to steer the ship of the confluence state in the desired direction.
Bello, however, reiterated that the APC in Kogi state was one united family, noting that the party was well positioned to win the next governorship election with a landslide.
The governor said he was confident of APC’s victory in the November governorship election.
