Musa Adar, executive secretary of the Nigeria Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (NEITI)
President Bola Tinubu has approved the redeployment of Musa Adar as executive secretary of the Nigeria Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (NEITI).
Adar will replace Ogbonnaya Orji, who has served in the capacity since 2021.
In a statement on Tuesday, Segun Imohiosen, director of information and public relations in the office of the secretary of the federation (OSGF), said the president redeployed and appointed officials in two agencies.
According to the statement, Adar was redeployed from his position as chairman of the National Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA).

He also encouraged them to apply their wealth of experience in “strengthening transparency, accountability, and effective service delivery within their respective agencies”.
On October 19, Kayode Oladele, acting chairman of the Federal Character Commission (FCC), said the Tinubu administration’s appointments are guided by the constitutional principles of equity and national balance.
Oladele noted that the north currently holds 56.3 percent of federal leadership positions, while the south accounts for 43.7 percent.
